Ciao! I am Gennaro Avitabile, a Lecturer in Cyber Security in the Surrey Centre for Cyber Security at the University of Surrey in Guildford (UK). Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid (Spain) hosted by Dario Fiore. In March 2023, I have obtained my PhD from the University of Salerno (Italy), my advisor was Ivan Visconti. My research interests lie in both the theoretical and practical aspects of cryptography, with applications to security and privacy. You can find a list of my works in my publications page.
I was born in Pompei (yes, the city still exists), close to Naples (Italy). My favorite food is neapolitan pizza.
